Golden Globes

The Golden Globes...As host Ricky Gervais has said - just like the Oscars without the esteem!  See our favourite looks and some not so favourite looks.  Because we can. 

Claire Danes, Kate Winslet and Jessica Chastain representing monochromatic palettes to perfection.

Charlize Theron looking incredible in probably THE colour of the globes...Nude... Angelina Jolie  wearing a Versace Tampon with partner Brad Pitt and walking stick.

Jessica Biel, Julie Bowen and Kate Beckinsale looking absolutely glorious in nude.  Could this be like Jessica Biels future wedding dress?  

    

 

Elle McPherson was definitely a favourite; also wearing a nude gown and stealing the show.  Heidi Klum somehow looking beautiful in a sausage casing.  Giuliana Rancic - we love the colour of course but not sure about the embellishment on the dress.

Diana Argon and Rees Witherspoon representing red.  Diana is all about eco awareness and recycling - choosing to wear her christmas bon bon.  Reese also went green saving power by not using a hairdryer or an iron - she managed to pull it off!

George Clooney and Stacy Keibler were one of our favourite couples of the night.  Her dress was just amazing.

         

There was clearly a blue trend as well.  Tilda Swinton though wearing her true to form avant guarde and fugly dress, had a very striking face.  Dame Helen Mirren looked beautiful in Navy.

                                 

Kelly Osbourne and Jodie Foster you should both be ashamed in these ill fitting, dull coloured anti fashion dresses.

Julianne Moore and Debra Messing decided to go as matching red heads just to confuse us, looking similar but gorgeous, elegant and happy. 

Zooey Deschanel had a great embellished lime green dress but terrible hair.  Salma Hayek looking amazing as always.  We LOVE this dress.

Below Madonna and Evan Rachel Wood are looking like fabulous iridescent peacocks.  Madge would have looked much better sans the Chanel biker gloves...

What IS this mustard and taffeta affair? This is how not to wear the it colour chartreuse.

Vanessa Paradis, the former singer and current partner of Johnny Depp, mother of his children and forever style heartthrob of ours...

A true style chameleon Vanessa embodies French Chic in her classic, monochromatic tailored basics with pops of red.  However, don't think you have her pegged as she always mixes it up and throws in a bohemian look or dishevelled hair offset by her amazing gap teeth. 

A little bit French, a little bit quirky and a lot amazing...

Such a petite face with a quirky singlet, tie and suspenders. 

Bronzed and glowing (perhaps she's just returned from the ISLAND she owns with Johnny and their children?)

This sucker punch pout has definitely come to be Vanessa's trademark (she is the face of the Chanel rouge allure afterall...)
